Whiskey Blue Cheese Burgers
Crispy Onions
1 large white onion, thinly sliced
2 cups buttermilk
1 package Due North fish batter
Fry oil at 350-375 degrees
Let onions sit in buttermilk for one hour, bread and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown
Whiskey Glaze Sauce
1/4 cup Whiskey, we recommend Bismarck Distillery
Heaping 1/4 cup of Top Dog BBQ sauce
2 TBSP smoked spicy honey "coming soon"
2 TBSP soy sauce
1 TBSP Worcestershire
1/4 tsp Arnold's Prairie Dust
Bring to a boil, then simmer until thickened, stirred frequently
Guinness Cheese Sauce
4 TBSP melted butter
4 TBSP flour
1/2 cup Guinness
8 oz shredded cheddar
3/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp Arnold's Prairie Dust
Low to medium heat, until melted and golden
1/2 pound burger, seasoned with Joltin' Josh's Coffee Rub stuffed with blue cheese crumbles. Cooked in skillet, on medium heat, to IT of 160 and rested on bun. Top with glaze, cheese sauce and crispy onions. This is worth the time and effort, quite decadent.
